The Hunt, who bears the title “Hunter of the Order”, is a boss in Phantom Blade Zero. He fights with twin chain-hooks, and he and Soul go at each other on a carriage running at full speed. His weapon is a pair of chain-sickles — short-hafted curved blades on long iron chains — so near and far are one reach, and the line his attacks take is hard to read.
Character Overview
The Hunt, titled “Hunter of the Order”, is an assassin sent out by The Order to hunt down Soul after Soul was framed. He carries twin chain-hooks, and he enters in the carriage chase, where he and Soul fight for their lives on a carriage at full gallop. He is strong, and his chain-hooks let him slip between close quarters and long range as the moment suits him.
Background
The Hunt is The Order’s hunter, kept for the pursuit and killing of The Order’s traitors and enemies. In Phantom Blade Zero he is sent after Soul, who has been framed. He appears in the carriage chase and gives Soul a fight that takes everything he has. The Hunt’s past and who he is come out piece by piece over the course of the story.

Appearance
The Hunt is lithe and hard, dressed as a killer, his face set in a cold expression. He carries twin chain-hooks, and danger seems to come off him.

- Hooks and cuts at close quarters; at range the blades are whipped out on centrifugal force
- Attack lines that are hard to read — whipping strikes, hooking cuts, coiling chain, and more besides
- The closing blow is a wide, sweeping cleave, and the force of it comes straight at you
Weapon Drop
The twin chain-hooks The Hunt carries pass to Soul once he is beaten, and become one of the weapons the player can use.
