Geography Overview
The Wulin brims and rolls on. No one knows how many tens of thousands of li the Phantom World stretches, how deep its seas go, or how vast the space between sky and earth really is.
By direction and by character, the geography of the Phantom World divides into seven regions: the Central Forbidden Land, the Eastern Traditional Wulin, the Southeastern Waterways, the Southern Wulin, the Northern Ice and Grassland Region, the Southwestern Wasteland and Volcano Region, and the Northwestern Desert.

The Central Forbidden Land
Seat of the imperial court, and forbidden ground for the Wulin. It takes in the Imperial City, Tianling Peak and other sites. Tianling Peak is where the Tianling Massacre took place several decades ago.
The Eastern Traditional Wulin
A region where the great named sects gather, among prosperous cities. It takes in Yecheng, Pangzhen Township, Anmo Bastion, Moon Bastion and other sites.
- Yecheng: a key location in the Rainblood series, and the site of Cloud Terrace Massacre
- Moon Bastion: a key stronghold of The Order
- Anmo Bastion: the old site of the Bastion of Mó
- Pangzhen Township: a traditional town of the Wulin
The Southeastern Waterways
Veined with rivers and canals, and a no-man’s-land that no authority claims. It takes in Nancheng, the Nancheng Abandoned Market, the Golden Jade Pavilion at Sea and other sites.
- Nancheng: hometown of Soul and Zuo Shang, a traditional Wulin city
- the Nancheng Abandoned Market: Nancheng’s derelict market
- the Golden Jade Pavilion at Sea: a foothold of a mysterious organization out on the water
The Southern Wulin
Wrapped in heavy fog, and home to a secret society. It takes in Luoye Market, Luocheng, Mirage Tower and other sites.

- Mirage Tower: Mirage’s headquarters
The Northern Ice and Grassland Region
Frozen all year, with grasslands running wide. It takes in the Snowfield, the Ice Sea, the Grassland Tribes and other sites.
The Southwestern Wasteland and Volcano Region
Active volcanoes, and a dead stillness lying over everything. It takes in the Volcanoes, the Marshes, the Wasteland and other sites.
The Northwestern Desert
The Long Road runs straight through, and the desert runs on without end. It takes in the Desert, the Long Road, the Oases and other sites.
